The appearance of brown age spots is not always tied into aging and in fact these spots can make an appearance quite early in life. For many women they are amongst the most undesirable skin blemishes.
The onset of age brown spots has a few reasons as well as a few solutions. The solutions are varied in how successful they are in actually succeeding in removing them. Age spots have been known to appear in people in their early twenties.
They are often referred to as liver spots and sun spots. The reference to sun is accurate as over-exposure to the suns ultraviolet rays is the main reason for their appearance on the skin.
Other factors that can add to these spots, regardless of a woman’s age are smoking, lack of vitamins, eating to much poor quality saturated oils, and a diet high in refined sugars and fats.
Curing these spots is a lot more difficult than reducing their appearance although there are some treatments that are very effective at reducing their impact.
Following prolonged exposure to the sun a pigment is released known as melanin. the effect of melanin is to darken the appearance of our skin. Often the melanin will form a cluster and this is what is known as age spots.
Including certain vegetables and fruits in our diet can greatly reduce the odds of these spots appearing. Eating more carrots and yams can be of huge benefit.
Including more green, leafy vegetables in our daily diet is also of benefit. Vegetables like cabbage and spinach can be a great addition to our diet.
Foods that are high in antioxidants are very powerful at fighting the effects of free radicals.Free radicals are created by over exposure to the elements and are a major contributory factor in skin aging. Garlic and Chives are a great source of antioxidants.
Another option available for removing age spots is surgery, although it only has limited success.
Laser surgery is very limited as it is fairly ineffective on those with dark skins or purplish age spots. It works by actually burning the spot off the skin and this may not be an option that many would like.
There are also chemical peels that are used to solve this problem. This means that you will have to put an acid on your skin, which again eats away your skin in order to fix the spots.
So, all in all another fairly unpleasant option.
The best solution is to find an all natural bleaching cream that is safe and reliable.
These creams employ ingredients that do not harm the skin but instead work by reducing excessive pigmentation thus returning the skins original color.
